eco or the Verband der deutschen Internetwirtschaft e.V is the largest organisation for the Internet industry in Europe and the Internet Authority in Germany, promoting the commercial and non-commercial use of the Internet. eco represents over 1,100 international member companies. eco operates the largest national data exchange, the De-CIX (Deutscher Commercial Internet Exchange).

The Institute for Internet Security – if(is) is an independent, scientific facility of the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, headed by Prof. Norbert Pohlmann. The Blockchain Lab is part of the Institute for Internet Security if(is).
